KOREAN ADDRESS STRUCTURE

while you don’t necessarily need to understand how the korean address is formed, it will help when filling out address forms, especially because they don’t all look the same.

the basic structure of the korean address in korean is as such:

ADDRESS FORM (KOREAN STRUCTURE)

when using a korean site, often time you will not have to fill out the address line 1 in the form. this is because korean sites prefer to use an address lookup system. this lessens the chance of your package being delivered incorrectly.

  1. search for the zip code. the address lookup system will then show you a list of valid korean addresses associated with that zip code.
  2. select the correct address. make sure you are selecting the correct street and/or (if applicable) alley numbers.
  3. enter the detailed address (address line 2). this includes the building number, building floor, apartment number, etc.
