KOREAN SELLERS

like instagram sellers, korean fans usually use a secondary account to sell and trade (거래계). unlike instagram sellers, korean sellers on twitter do not usually keep a thread of proofs, so it’s important that you look through their account to make sure they are a legitimate seller. a good sign that they are trustworthy is if they have previous completed sales, which they usually make note of by replying to the original listing with either 거래완료 or 양도완료. you can also try to dm accounts that replied to an old sale post to ask if they have successfully received purchases from that seller.

it’s also important to read the seller’s bio and pinned tweet, where they will list their rules. they will also say if they speak english. most of the time, their rules are entirely in korean, so if you need to translate, i highly recommend using papago to translate from korean to english. please do not use google translate. papago also allows you to translate korean text in pictures/screenshots.

PRICING METHOD

korean sellers usually list their prices in multiples of 10,000 won.

that means if you see a photocard listed for 1.0, the price is 10,000 won. a photocard listed for 0.5 means it costs 5,000 won, while 50 means the price is 500,000 won.

PAYMENTS

<aside> ‼️ KOREAN SELLERS ONLY ACCEPT KOREAN BANK TRANSFERS.

on occasion, a few do accept paypal. take note, however, that korean paypal currently only accepts payments using g&s, which sellers will require you to cover.

SHIPPING

<aside> ‼️ KOREAN SELLERS ONLY SHIP TO KOREAN ADDRESSES. THEY DO NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY.

the three most common shipping services in korea are 준등기우편, 등기우편 and 택배. all three are tracked mail.

  1. 준등기우편 (semi-registered mail) delivered using korea post (우채국) and costs 1,800 won.
  2. 등기우편 (registered mail) delivered using korea post (우채국) and costs 2,200 won.
  3. 택배 (parcel mail) usually delivered using other mail services, e.g. CJ Logistics. the cost starts at 3,000 won.

in most cases, the seller will let you know which method they use, though sometimes they will let you choose. in comparison, most korean online stores deliver using 택배 (e.g. weverse shop global).
